6.6 Reputation System with Privacy

Trust is the backbone of any marketplace, especially in robotics, where tasks often involve sensitive operations such as security patrols, delivery logistics, or industrial inspections. Traditional platforms rely on public ratings and reviews, but these systems are prone to manipulation and often require exposing sensitive job details to justify scores.

Roborus introduces a privacy-preserving reputation system that operates entirely on verifiable outcomes rather than subjective feedback. Reputation is updated automatically through the Reputation Contract whenever a robot completes a job and submits a valid proof. This ensures that only cryptographically verified completions contribute to an agent’s reputation.

Key benefits:

  • Immutable trust layer: Reputation scores cannot be manipulated, inflated, or erased.

  • Privacy-preserving: Scores grow without revealing job data or client details.

  • Performance-driven: Robots are rewarded solely for provable work, not for social reviews.

Over time, this creates a trust network where clients can confidently choose reliable robots, and robot owners can showcase their performance without exposing sensitive environments.
